We Are Awesome || Pretty Little Studio

Hi everyone!  I just wanted to stop in to share a layout that I made recently for Pretty Little Studio with the new Beautiful Day collection.  I have to tell you - this is one of my absolute favorite collections of all time.  The colors and patterns totally speak to me and I want to create with it as much as possible!

For today's layout I decided to scrap some recent photos of my nice and I being silly.  I kept the photos black & white so all the pretty colors in the collection could shine.
The layout itself is fairly simple with just a few layers and lots of die cuts scattered around.  I finished off the layout by adding some sprinkles of mist.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to share your PLS projects on Pretty Little Studio's Facebook or Instagram!

May Project Life

Hey everyone!  It's another Monday...blah :-P

I wanted to pop in and share my completed May Project Life spread with you.  I used a lot of the Pink Paislee Fancy Free collection designed by Paige Taylor Evans.  I love the bright, bold colors of the collection and how happy it makes my May look :)

And now that I'm all caught up my goal is to go back and start feeling in some of those missing months...fingers crossed :)

Thanks for stopping in - have a happy work week!

Green + Blue = Happy

Hi everyone!  I am popping in to share a new layout that I made JUST FOR FUN!  Well...sort of.  I made it as part of my design team application for Color Cast Designs, but there were no rules associated with what I was doing, so I consider that a "just for fun" project :o)

I've had a few pieces from Amy Tangerine's On A Whim collection laying around for a while now and decided to finally break into them.  I really loved the blue and green paper and decided to build a whole layout around that fun color combination.  Here's the end result:

See what I mean?  Green + Blue = Happy for sure :)

Have a nice weekend!

CardMaker Magazine + Prickley Pear Blog Hop

Good morning everyone! Welcome to the CardMaker Magazine + Prickley Pear Blog Hop!  I was so excited to get to play with some of the cute rubber stamps that Prickley Pear kindly sent us.

As soon as I saw the stamps, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  The cute cow stamp combined with the "An udder year older" sentiment was perfect for making my own gift wrap and tag for a friend's gift.

I used Versamark to stamp the image on to black paper and then embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I used black embossing powder on the tag to make the cow stand out against the green background.  I added minor embellishments to finish off the package.  I think the overall look is cute and funny :)
I mean seriously, how cute is that cow?!?!

Your next stop on the hop is the talented Sharon.  If this was your first stop, you can start the hop at the CardMaker Magazine blog.  Up for grabs today is an awesome $20 gift card from Prickley Pear!

Thanks so much for stopping by - enjoy your Friday and your weekend!

April Project Life

Good morning everyone.  Happy Monday (if there is such a thing)!  I wanted to pop in and share my April Project Life spread with you...completed because of my involvement in #the100dayproject (see my first post here).  My goal is to go back and work on last year's spreads...but that requires a lot of work up front and who knows if I'll be able to pull that off!  ;-)

Anywho, here's April...using a lot of the Felicity kit from Felicity Jane.

Thanks for popping in!  Hope your Monday and work week go well!

So Loved Already || Pretty Little Studio

Good morning everyone!  I just wanted to pop in and share my most recent Pretty Little Studio layout with you!  For this one, I decided to keep the layout pretty simple.  I used my favorite cut file from The Cut Shoppe (open letter alpha) and backed it with the bright, pretty patterns from the With all my Heart collection.  I cut the letters from some pretty foiled paper that I've been hoarding because I thought it would compliment the beautiful color combo of the collection perfectly:
Once I had backed out the letters with the papers and my photo, I sprinkled about multiple sentiments, die cuts and embellishments.  Here's how the final layout turned out:
Thanks so much for stopping in!  Have a great day!
