Hey, hey, hey y'all!  Popping in here today to share today's Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday challenge with you.  I legit love Scraplift Sunday.  This is such a fun team of inspirational crafters that I pretty much always want to copy everything everyone creates :)

The layout we are lifting today is this amazing one by Anna:

I love this layout - it's a relatively simple design, but you can do so much with it.  The design really allows the photo to be the center of attention, which I think is really important when you're scrapping.

I broke out some fun Jillibean Soup products that I've been holding on to a smidge too long...but can you blame me?  That rainbow paper is all kinds of awesome and I had to work up the nerve to cut into it!  :)
Here's my layout:

I hope you can pay along with us!  And don't forget that code KAT20 (or any of the other girls' codes) will always save you 20% on your store orders!

Paper Issues' Free File Friday

Woot woot!  Happy Friday everyone!  Kat here today to share my Free File Friday project for Paper Issues with you.  I hope you are all aware of the awesome free cut files that PI has in their store, but just in case you're not, you can get them all here!

For my project today I used the Stitching Ampersand file.  This is a fun file because not only does it cut out the stitching template, but you also have the option to cut out "filler" ampersands.

I combined this file with Bella Blvd's new Let's Go on an Adventure collection to scrap a photo of my little family.  I stitched the ampersand with some pink embroidery floss that complimented the floral patterned paper nicely.

Here is the final project:

Blessed || Bella Blvd

Good morning everyone!  I wanted to stop in today to share my newest creation made with Bella Blvd's gorgeous Home Sweet Home collection.

This collection is so beautiful that I wanted to try to incorporate a few of the fun patterns.  I decided the best way to do this was to cut out a bunch of circles and bunch them together on my layout.

When I decided on this design, the layout came together pretty quickly.  I used the "blessed" acrylic word to add in my title...I love the pretty font of that one!

Here is the final layout:
Quick and simple!

Have a wonderful week!

Paper Issues || Swanky Swatches

Good morning everyone!  Popping in today to share my take on this month's Swanky Swatches challenge over at Paper Issues.  Here is the color palette:

I gotta tell you - I'm totally in love with this one.  I really love using purples in my layouts, even though I don't do it nearly enough.  I also think that purple paired with green is a winning combo.

For my layout, I cut out squares of patterned papers and layered them to create a strip across my project.  I then fussy cut some hearts and sprinkled them up and down the page with some sequins.  The majority of the products used come from Vicki Boutin's new line, Kaleidoscope.

Here is the finished project:

I am so in love with this fresh color combo!

I hope you can play along with us...and if you need to stock up on any supplies, don't forget you can use code KAT20 to save 20% in the PI store!

Scraplift Sunday

Good morning everyone! It's Scraplift Sunday at Paper Issues!  I am pretty darn excited about the layout we're lifting this week:

Rachel created this awesome layout and it's so much fun!  I decided to use the beautiful Happiness line from Cocoa Vanilla Studio to scrap a photo of my daughter playing in wildflowers.

The papers and subject matter I used are pretty feminine, so I substituted her circles for butterflies and created this:

I like how it turned out and I am so thankful for Rachel's amazing inspiration.  Make sure you play along with us in our Facebook group...and you can also use my code  (or any of the other design team members' codes) to get 20% off your total store order.  Woohoo!

Happy Pool Days || Paper Issues

Good morning everyone!  Just stopping in today to share my take on this month's "Even Your Odds" challenge over at Paper Issues.  I'm not going to lie...this challenge was a doozy!  Here's a look at the challenge details:

So...yeah...I took some liberties here and there.  For example, I used 8 chipboard alphas in my title - that counts as an even number of chipboard pieces to me!  :)  I also used 1 photo, 7 stickers, 3 words in my title, 6 pieces of paper and 6 colors (pink, gold, black, blue, white and a smidge of green...and I don't want to hear any of that nonsense about how white isn't a color!)

For my layout, I used the new Sunny Days collection from Maggie Holmes/Crate Paper.  I really struggle with her lines sometimes because she has a way more vintage style than I do, but I think this line is so pretty that I just couldn't resist it.

Here's my full layout:

I hope you play along with us...and I hope you have an easier time with the challenge than I did. LOL!

I'm with Cupid || Paper Issues

Good morning everyone!  Popping in here today to share my take on the I'm with Cupid challenge for Paper Issues!  When I saw the challenge, I knew I wanted to focus on hearts...a whole bunch of hearts.  :)

I found the perfect free cut file from the store - the Heart Grid file - and modified it a little bit to fit my needs.  I deleted some of the hearts so I would have 3 rows of 4 hearts.  I then backed each of the hearts with papers from the AMAZING "Blessed" collection from Kaisercraft.

Once I had all my hearts backed, I then added my photo and minimal embellishments to finish off the page.  It all came together quickly and easily!

I hope you can play along with us this month!  And if you decide you need anything from the store, don't forget to use code KAT20 at checkout to get 20% off your order.  Woohoo!

In Motion || Paper Issues

Good morning everyone!  I'm here today to share my newest layout for Paper Issues.  My challenge this week is all about putting motion on the paper.

I scrapped a photo of my girl in motion (she's in constant motion, so that wasn't too difficult).  I also tried to create motion across my layout using large blocks of paper.  I used the Blessed collection from KaiserCraft, which is SIMPLY GORGEOUS!  Seriously...I adore it so much.

I hope you can play along with this challenge!  And if you decided you need to get your hands on this beautiful collection (or any other paper goodies), you can use code KAT20 to save 20% off your purchase!

January Tic Tac Toe Challenge || Paper Issues

Good morning everyone!  Just stopping in here today to share my take on this month's Tic Tac Toe challenge over at Paper Issues.  Here is the inspiring board:

For my layout, I decided to choose a diagonal row: journaling, pink and 2 photos.  I also used the beautiful Shine On collection by Amy Tangerine, which you can still find a little bit of in the store.

My layout came together fairly quickly.  I made some large banner pieces from my scraps and just started layering.  I like how the layout turned out, which is good, because these are some of my favorite photos of my daughter :)

Thanks so much for popping in!  I hope you can play along with this challenge and if you are inspired to purchase something from the store, use code KAT20 to save 20%!

Why I Love #52Favorites

Good morning everyone!  This morning I am here to spread propaganda about the #52favorites project at Paper Issues.  Lol.  In all seriousness, Paper Issues didn't ask for me to do this, but I feel the need to encourage EVERYONE to participate.

For those unfamiliar, #52favorites is a weekly album where you document your favorite memory from each week.  A lot of people do their album in a Traveler's Notebook.  I re-purposed a planner for my 2018 album.  I focused on the 52 Favorites of Piper, my daughter, so every memory I documented was about her and something going on in her life.  This project was SUPER manageable.  I mean, I completed all 52 weeks, so that is HUGE.  I come from a Project Life background, bu found that PL just wasn't feasible once I had Piper.  And I know PL can be super simple, but that's not might thing.  I like taking my time to make pretty pages; that's the fun part for me.

Anyways, looking back at my 2018 album gets me all nostalgic.   Here's why...my week 1:

And my week 49, which is the last week that includes a super close-up of my girl:

She grew so much!!!

Here is a collage of my favorite spreads from the year:

(funny to see how different the lighting was whenever I would take my photos...but I work and have a kid, so this is the best I can do...lol)

Which leads me to my plan for 2019...

Because my favorite spread from my 2018 book was this one:

I miss sequin shakers, y'all.  A LOT.  So for this year's album, I decided to go back to a pocket scrapping format and will use 4x4 albums.  And lots of sequins.  And a lot more bulk.  I love my 2018 album, but I want to change things up a bit for this year.  Here's my title page to give you an idea of what I have in mind:

I won't be sharing all my weeks here but if you keep up with my on instagram, you'll be able to see them all.

Thanks for popping in!
