Tackling Some Challenges

Good morning, everyone.  I have two layouts that I'd like to share with you today.  They were both done for challenges over at Studio Calico.

This first layout was made for a scraplift challenge.  We were supposed to scraplift this amazing layout.  Here's my take:

For the second challenge, we were supposed to use a mask:

For the background I used a cool technique that was shown in a video by Corrie Jones on the Evalicious blog.
