CardMaker Magazine Blog + Grafix Blog Hop

Good morning, everyone!  Welcome to the CardMaker Magazine Blog + Grafix blog hop!

I have to say, I had so much fun creating this project.  I worked with the Grafix Essentials Shrink Wrap...and what an amazing product!!  Basically, you draw on a clear plastic sheet (my instruments of choice were a colorful array of sharpies), bake it...and then amazingness happens.  Seriously, your artwork turns into tiny acrylic-like pieces.  I was totally amazed.  Take a look at the before and after pictures (and please excuse my horrible photography skills, as I was just snapping some pics with my iPhone during the process and hadn't originally planned on sharing them, but then I was too amazed not to!):

In the end I decided to throw these cute little pieces into a shaker card with a few sequins mixed in:

I can't get over how much fun this product was to use!!

I am actually the last artist stop on the hop today, so head back over to the Grafix site and browse through all the pretty stuff over there.  They have a whole range of crazy cool products and a lot of awesome project ideas.  If you joined the hop at my site, head back to the CardMaker Magazine Blog to see the whole list of artists and begin the Grafix journey.

Thanks for stopping in...happy hopping!

Scrapping with a 6x6 Paper Pad || Paper Issues

Good morning, everyone!  I am on the Paper Issues blog this morning to share with you one of my go-to techniques for scrapping with a 6x6 paper pad.  This is one of my favorite layout designs and I probably make some version of it 2-3 times a year.  I love that this design is an easy way to incorporate so many different patterns and stickers into one layout.

For today's layout, I chose to work with the new Oasis line from Crate Paper.  I love this collection, but it's very tropical, so I knew I wouldn't get a chance to use it too often.  Because of that I decided to purchase the 6x6 paper pad, so I could still get all the pretty patterns without breaking the bank.

I then picked out a few of my favorite patterns, cut them into tiny strips and layered them on top of one another.  I then went back in and layered in some of the stickers and sprinkled around gold sequins and pink mist.

The end result is a layout that's totally me - a lot of colors and patterns, but not overwhelming.

Do you use 6x6 paper pads in your scrapping adventures?

Thanks for stopping in...if you're interested in grabbing the Oasis collection from the Paper Issues store (or anything else), don't forget to use code KAT20 at checkout for 20% off your entire order!

Some Jillibean Shares

Good morning, everyone!  I wanted to pop in and share a couple projects that I had on the Jillibean Soup blog last week.  Both of these were made using the Hardy Hodgepodge collection and were originally made for CHA (now called Creativation, I believe) a few weeks ago.

First up: this "love" card.  I will never get tired of Jillibean's adhesive sequins:
Then I shared this layout of my cute dog, Moose.  Isn't he handsome??
Thanks for stopping by!

CardMaker Magazine + Lawn Fawn blog hop

Good morning, everyone!  Welcome to the CardMaker Magazine + Lawn Fawn blog hop!  There are sure to be a ton of inspirational projects along the way!  You should have arrived here from Melissa's blog.  But, if you just ended up here randomly, head back to the CardMaker Magazine blog and you can start from there. :-)

For my project today I used the SUPER CUTE Octopi My Heart stamp set.  Even my husband, who doesn't care a lick about papercrafting products, commented on how cute the octopus stamp is.

I created a little rainbow of cute octopi and added a simple sentiment at the bottom:

See?  Isn't that octopus the most adorable thing you've seen in a long time?

Thanks for popping in...next on the hop is the lovely Heather!  Happy hopping!

Paper Issues' Product Spotlight || Dear Lizzy Lovely Day

Hi, everyone!  Today's product spotlight at Paper Issues is all about the new Dear Lizzy collection, Lovely Day.  There are parts of this collection that I simply adore, like the pretty "Oh Hello" patterned paper.  It's one of those papers that annoyingly has an awesome A-side and B-side.  I used it on my layout today:

One side of the paper is the cute floral pattern on the navy background and the other side is the happy polka dots.  I'm in love!!

Wanna get your hands on this collection?  Swing by the PI store and pick it up...and use code KAT20 to get 20% off your entire store purchase!!

Paper Issues' February Issue

Good morning everyone!  There is a new issue up at Paper Issues today!  This one is called "Let's Play Post Office".  Some ideas for your projects:

-Use office supplies like binder clips, tags, push pins, postage stamps and envelopes. -Alter a clipboard. -Include stamping on your project. -Document a piece of mail or a love letter. -Create a layout about your latest Paper Issues package (either a photo of the box and/or contents). -Show us your kids, grandchildren, etc. at play. -Share something about Valentine's Day/love.

I went an obvious route and created three little envelopes to house my pictures in:

I used Paige Evan's new collection for Pink Paislee, "Oh My Heart".

I hope you're able to play along with us this month!!

go layout || Pretty Little Studio

Good morning, everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend :)

I wanted to pop in and share a new layout that I have up on the Pretty Little Studio blog this morning made with the Summer Vibes collection.  I love the colors and patterns in this collection so much.  They are so happy, bright and fun...and have me longing for Summer days!

I decided to use this collection to scrap a cute photo of my friend and I on a day trip to Tarpon Springs, FL:
I started by brushing paint on one side of my layout, then built the layout on top of it.  I really like the clear star stickers in the collection.  It provides a nice texture to the layout.  Kind of like rub-ons, but a lot less work!

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy the rest of your day!

Hi everyone!  I wanted to pop in and share a couple of layouts that I've shared over at Paper Issues recently.

The first was a Scraplift Sunday layout.  We lifted an amazing layout by fellow design team member, Pol Prince.  Here's my take on it using the new Dear Lizzy Lovely Day collection:

The second layout was shared today and it was made for this month's mood board challenge.  The mood board this month is AMAZING!!

You can play along with both challenges in the Paper Issues (Friends & Fans) Facebook page.  Also, if you see anything you like in the PI store, don't forget to use the code KAT20 to save 20% off your entire purchase!
