Paper Issues || Swanky Swatches

Good morning everyone!  Popping in today to share my take on this month's Swanky Swatches challenge over at Paper Issues.  Here is the color palette:

I gotta tell you - I'm totally in love with this one.  I really love using purples in my layouts, even though I don't do it nearly enough.  I also think that purple paired with green is a winning combo.

For my layout, I cut out squares of patterned papers and layered them to create a strip across my project.  I then fussy cut some hearts and sprinkled them up and down the page with some sequins.  The majority of the products used come from Vicki Boutin's new line, Kaleidoscope.

Here is the finished project:

I am so in love with this fresh color combo!

I hope you can play along with us...and if you need to stock up on any supplies, don't forget you can use code KAT20 to save 20% in the PI store!

Scraplift Sunday

Good morning everyone! It's Scraplift Sunday at Paper Issues!  I am pretty darn excited about the layout we're lifting this week:

Rachel created this awesome layout and it's so much fun!  I decided to use the beautiful Happiness line from Cocoa Vanilla Studio to scrap a photo of my daughter playing in wildflowers.

The papers and subject matter I used are pretty feminine, so I substituted her circles for butterflies and created this:

I like how it turned out and I am so thankful for Rachel's amazing inspiration.  Make sure you play along with us in our Facebook group...and you can also use my code  (or any of the other design team members' codes) to get 20% off your total store order.  Woohoo!
