Pinspire Me || Paper Issues

Good morning everyone!  I'm here today to share my layout for this month's Pinspire Me challenge over at Paper Issues.  I'm not going to lie, this one was a little bit hard for me.  All I see when I look at this board is red...and red is my least favorite color.  But, I persevered and found some cute Bella Blvd supplies to make it all better :)  Here is the board:

And here is what I made:

I pulled out the new Santa Squad collection and a bunch of coordinating red embellies (with a little pop of pink) to make this come together.  All red ain't so bad after all ;-)

I hope you can play along with us this month...and don't forget, all the DT girls have a code you can use in the store to save 20% off your purchase - mine is KAT20 :)

Countdown to Christmas || Bella Blvd

Good morning, everyone!  I'm here today to share a fun little project that I'm really excited about.  I'm sharing it over on the Bella Blvd blog today...This is my daughter's first year where she kind of understands what is happening with Christmas.  She knows who Santa is and she's so excited about trees and lights and we're trying to educate her all about the reason for the season.  I also really want her to be excited about the big day, so I decided we'd do a fun little countdown to Christmas once there were 12 days left.
I found a cute little set of books at Target that had a fun variety of all different subject matter, from the 12 Days of Christmas, to baby Jesus, to Santa's reindeer.  I wrapped each of them and put a number tag on them so we can countdown to Christmas Day.
I broke out the Santa Squad collection to make all my tags and it coordinates so well with a bunch of other great Bella products.  I think I used a little bit of everything from my stash to create these and I had the best time!
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Does your family do anything fun to count down the days until your favorite holiday?

November Take 5 || Paper Issues

Good morning everyone!  I'm here today to share my layout for this month's Take 5 challenge for Paper Issues.  Here's the list:

I think this is my favorite monthly challenge because it really allows you to do almost anything you want.  Most of the layouts I make usually meet the challenge board for the month and that's always a nice surprise.

For this one, I used up some of the My Mind's Eye Happy Days collection.  There's none of it left in the store, but there are some other fun My Mind's Eye products there.

And here's what I ended up creating:

I used a pre-made title, labels, a 3x4 card, arrows, ephemera, green and layers!

I hope you can play along with us...and don't forget you can save 20% off any PI store purchase if you use a DT member code.  My code is KAT20.

My Heart || Bella Blvd

Good morning everyone!  I'm here to share my layout for Thanksgiving week over at Bella Blvd.  I decided to make a layout that focuses on what I'm grateful for...and one of the things I'm most grateful for is my daughter - she's my heart!
The Home Sweet Home collection was absolutely perfect for this layout, including the coordinating "My Heart" acrylic title.
I love all the fun patterns in the collection, so I used as many of them as possible.  I cut up a bunch of triangles and arranged them into a vertical element that ran the height of my page.  I then sprinkled around some word salad stickers, enamel hearts, ephemera and some mist.  The layout actually came together really quickly once I had all my triangles cut out!  Here's the whole thing:
Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful week!
Patterned Papers: Home Sweet Home: All My Love, Always Welcome, Home Sweet Home, Welcome Home; Acrylic Title: My Heart; Ephemera Icons: Home Sweet Home; Doohickey Stickers: Home Sweet Home; Word Salad Stickers; Illustrated Faith Enamel Hearts: Bless Her Heart Mix

Getting Messy with Bella

Good morning everyone! I'm here on this beautiful Sunday morning to kick off Bella Blvd's week of getting messy! I'm so in love with this prompt. I'm not really a messy scrapper, but I always have fun when I branch out and get a bit messy.
For my layout today, I decided to paint a bunch of colors in rainbow-ish order to create my background. I then took a bunch of paper scraps, punched holes in them with my punch and glued them down on top of their coordinating colors. I then added a bunch of fun coordinating embellishments from the Squeeze the Day line.
This layout came together so quickly and I think it's kinda fun...it definitely highlights the rainbows in my life :). Here is the full layout:
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!
Patterned Paper: Freehand Graph and Dot: Bell Pepper, Pickle Juice, Punch, Oange, Gulf, Plum; Epoxy Stickers: Hearts (Squeeze the Day); Ephemera Words: Squeeze the Day; Bella Pops: Follow the Rainbow; IF enamel hearts: Olive You Mix

October Sketch || Paper Issues

Good morning everyone!  I hope you're enjoying all the fun happening over in the PI Facebook group with the crop this weekend. While there are plenty of challenges there to inspire you, don't forget about all of the monthly challenges we have going on, too...including this month's sketch challenge.

Here is the sketch:

It's giving off lots of fun Halloween-y vibes, but I actually went in a different direction.  I used the 6x8 Cocoa Vanilla Studio Unforgettable paper pad, cut out a bunch of strips and created a heart as my grounding element.  Then I added in my photo, minimal ephemera pieces and a sticker for my title.  Here's my take:

I hope you can play along!  And don't forget that each design team member has a code you can use for 20% off a store purchase.  My code is KAT20.

Halloween Bella Style

Good morning everyone! I'm here today to share with you my most recent Halloween layout that's over at the Bella Blvd blog.  As some may know, I have a 2 year old daughter and at this age, she is changing SO MUCH and SO FAST. So, when I snapped a picture of her this year with some pumpkins, I noticed it was similar to one from last year. I decided to create a layout documenting the two.
I began by using the calendar invisible as my background and then mounted my pictures on multiple layers of paper from he super fun Sweet & Spooky collection. I embellished around the page with heart hugs, chipboard, and puffy stars and added my title to the bottom.
Here's the layout in its entirety:
Thanks so much for popping in today!
Color Chaos Invisibles: Calendar; Sticky Mix: Sweet & Spooky; Patterned Paper: Sweet & Spooky: Midnight Jive, Borders, Watching You, Smell my Feet, Wonky Alpha Puffy Stickers: Orange; Ephemera: Sweet & Spooky; Homespun Numbers: Practice what you Peach; Ciao Chip: Sweet & Spooky; Ephemera Words: Sweet & Spooky; Heart Hugs: Halloween; Puffy Stars Stickers: Oreo Black, Orange Mix

Secret Life of Pets || Paper Issues

Good morning, everyone!  I'm here today to share my take on this month's Secret Life of Pets challenge over at Paper Issues.  I always love this one, because my pup is pretty much my favorite creature to spend time with...lol.

For this layout, I decided to go with a large title and used the Believe Bold Alpha free cut file to achieve this look. I also used the super fun new line from Amy Tangerine, Slice of Life.  Since my doggy makes me so happy, he really does deserve all the bright, happy patterns on a layout all about him.

Here is the total layout:

Scraplift Sunday || Paper Issues

Good morning!  I'm here to say, "Happy Scraplift Sunday!!"  It's one of my favorite scrappy days of the week and it's all at Paper Issues.

This morning we are lifting this awesome layout by Kelly:
I love how she centered the photos in the large circle.  I knew immediately that I wanted to do the same things with a giant heart.  And instead of using letters to make my heart, I used paper strips from an Amy Tangerine line (the Stay Sweet collection's 6x8 paper pad is still available in the store here).

I also centered my photos in the middle of the heart.

Here's my final layout:

Thanks again to Kelly for the awesome inspiration!  I really hope you can play along with us in the Paper Issues Friends & Fans Facebook group!

And finally, don't forget that everyone on the design team has a code you can use to save money in the Paper Issue store - mine is KAT20!

Good morning everyone! I'm here today to share my newest layout that's totally Autumn-inspired and up at the Bella Blvd blog! Is it cooling down where you are yet? We're still looking at another month of warmer weather, but a girl can dream...

For this layout, I began by ripping strips of papers for the top and bottom of my layout. Then I glued down my photos and added a smattering of ephemera, puffy stars and fussy cut flowers from the gorgeous "Night Garden" paper from the Sweet & Spooky collection.
I love that even though the Sweet & Spooky collection was made for Halloween, there are still pieces in there that are perfect for Fall-themed layouts, as well...especially when paired with the new Freehand Graph & Dot papers!
Here is my full project:
Thanks so much for popping in today!
Patterned Papers: Freehand Graph & Dot: Gulf, Orange, Plum; Sweet & Spooky: Exclusive Collection Kit Bonus Pattern, Night Garden; Illustrated Faith Alphas: Typed Practice What You Peach; Florence Alphas: Plum; Sticky Mix: Sweet & Spooky; Ephemera: Sweet & Spooky; Puffy Stars Stickers: Orange Mix

Good morning everyone!  Happy Friday!  I'm on the Paper Issues blog today to share one of my recent spreads in my #52favorites album.  For those who don't know, my #52favorites album is all focused on my daughter, Piper (the perks of having an only child!).

The memory for this week was that she picked out her own outfit and it was so super cute that I had to document it.  I used the awesome September Kit.  It has so many great papers in it...I'm definitely in love.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  And don't forget all the design team members have a code you can use to save 20% in the store - mine is KAT20!

Summer Birthdays || Bella Blvd

Good morning everyone! I'm here today to share with you my layout for our "Summer Memories" week over at Bella Blvd. My daughter and two of her cousins have summer birthdays, so we try to get together in the Summertime and celebrate with birthday parties. This Summer, my daughter had a rainbow themed party with the family and her aunt bought fun lollipops for the littles. Of course, we had to do a photo shoot...and then I had to scrap it!  :)
I thought these photos were perfect for the Squeeze the Day collection. In addition to it having rainbows featured in the collection, the colors are so happy and bright and complement the photos well.
I began by creating my background out of pieces of paper from the Bella Besties 6x6 paper pad.  Then I glue down my pictures and the Sweet Skies paper. I wanted to make my acrylic title pop, so I backed it with another paper from the paper pad. Here's the end result:
Thanks so much for stopping by!
6x6 Paper Pad: Bella Besties Freehand Graph and Dot; Patterned Paper: Bella Besties: Freehand Graph and Dot Punch, Squeeze the Day: Sweet Skies; Acrylic Words: Happy; Ephemera Words: Squeeze the Day; Ephemera Icons: Squeeze the Day; Doohickey Stickers: Squeeze the Day; Acrylic Shapes: Rainbows; Matte Enamels: Fruity Mix

Bella Blvd - Back to School

Good morning everyone! Can you believe that summer is unofficially over and kids are going back to school?!?! It's crazy!
For my back-to-school-week layout over at Bella Blvd, I decided to begin by using the Florence Alpha cut file to add a little interest to my background. I backed that with the Oyster paper from the new Bella Besties line and then added in random Florence Alphas to add a pop of color. I then dug DEEP into my stash and pulled out bits from the older Star Student line. I love mixing older supplies with newer stuff - and since all the Bella products coordinate so well, it's easy to do!
Here is my final layout:
Do you mix old and new products? Make sure to share with us - we always love to see what you're making. Have a wonderful day!
Patterned Papers: Bella Besties: Freehand Graph & Dot Oyster; Star Student: Borders, Daily Details; Florence Alphas, Punch, Orange, Bell Pepper, Pickle Juice, Ice, Plum; Ciao Chip: Star Student; Trinkets: Star Student; Treasures & Text: Star Student; Enamel Doo Dads: McIntosh
