Easy Birthday Card || Pretty Little Studio

Hey everyone!  I am popping in to share a very simple birthday card I made for my mother-in-law and shared earlier today on the Pretty Little Studio blog.

Today is her birthday and all she asked for was a homemade card and pictures of Piper.  I decided to combine the two and make her a photo card:

Piper's shirt says "Mama & Sunshine & Peace & Naps & Love, but I took some painter's tape and alphas stickers so we could change it to say "Grammy" instead of "Mama".   We took a bunch of cute pictures and I then made a collage and printed it off and matted it on the cute paper from the "It's Your Birthday" collection.  Finally, I added some sentiment stickers and tags.  All-in-all, it was super simple and easy to do, but hopefully it will still make her feel special on her day!

I'm Baaaaaackkkk!!!

I know, I know...I've been super MIA these last few months.  I have a good reason!  I started working again full-time at the end of March and I was finishing up grad school (which I just completed last weekend!) and all my free time was spent watching the tiny child...so yeah...scrapbooking fell by the wayside.  But now I have legit free time and I can scrap to my heart's content (on the weekends and in the evenings).

For my first layout  back, I participated in a Paper Issues challenge to use a striped background, which is so far out of my vanilla comfort zone, but it was fun.  Even more fun?  I lifted this amazing layout by Cassie Box.  I still like her's better, but I love this bright, happy line from Doodlebug Design, so I'm not complaining.

Have a happy, glorious weekend!

These Little Knees || Pretty Little Studio

Good morning everyone!  I'm popping in today to share a layout that I recently made with the Wish You Were Here collection for Pretty Little Studio.  Even though this collection is a travel collection, it can be used to document everyday moments, too.
Specifically, I decided to document my daughter's scraped and bruised knees.  She's crawling now and her knees are always showing the wear and tear.  I loved this collection for the layout because the travel phrases like "on the go" and "let's explore" are also perfect for documenting my little crawler :)
Here's the full layout:
Thanks so much for popping in!
