Goodbye, Just C & S!

Yes, it's true...my tenure at Just C & S is complete. I had such an amazing time on that team. Some of my favorite layouts of all time were created from Just C & S challenges. Our final challenge was to create a layout saying "goodbye.' I'm not good at goodbyes, so I didn't really say much of anything....

Just C & S is having a design team call! I had the best time on this team and some of my all-time favorite layouts were created from Maureen's prompts. Altered Clock

Hey, all!

Sorry I have been MIA for awhile...I've been super busy and totally neglecting my blog...and I expect this trend to keep up at least through December...I think it's a busy time of year for pretty much everyone.

I do have a project to share, though. I've never been big on altered projects, but with the newest challenge up at Just C & S, I couldn't resist. The challenge is open to anything you want...all you have to do is make an altered item. Here's my before picture (only $3 at Target!):

I figured I should immortalize my favorite paper (Crate Paper "Bliss") for all of time (do you get the super, super corny pun?).

Hey, all! I hope that everyone had a nice weekend...they go by so fast, though, don't they?

I figured since Veteran's Day is this Thursday and the Marine Corps birthday is this Wednesday, I should pay a little tribute to my Marine...he's my hero :o) And so are all the other brave men and women who have put their lives on the line to defend our country.

I just really liked the way the first attempt turned out so I decided to use the same basic concept and just use slightly different embellies. Just C & S has a new sketch posted today...and honestly, it is one of my favorites. It is simple, but cool. Here is my layout:

I think the Sassafras paper whimsies were perfect for this sketch. And isn't that picture hilarious? Eric is always making funny faces in photos and I am always totally oblivious...
