April Pattern Happy Projects

Hey everyone!  I am excited to pop in and share my first design team projects for Pattern Happy.  My first project was a spread for my #52favorites album...isn't Piper so super cute in her tub 'o letters?!

The second is a layout I created with a free file from The Cut Shoppe.

The bright colors and happy patterns from Pattern Happy are all so awesome!  I'm instantly inspired to create with them!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Spooky Scary Skeleton || Pretty Little Studio

Good morning, everyone!  Are you getting ready for Halloween?  I have never really cared about Halloween one way or another, but now that my daughter is here, I'm super excited about it even though she is still so young.  It also helps that the new Goosebumps collection from Pretty Little Studio is really cute and fun!  :)

I decided to use this collection for my most recent PLS assignment to create a layout about Piper in her skeleton jammies.  My husband did a little dance with her to the "Spooky, Scary Skeleton" song that was pretty much the cutest thing ever.
I created a big title with a cut file from The Cut Shoppe and filled it in with fun papers from the collection.  Then I added some minimal embellishments and splatters to finish off the page.  It came together very quickly and easily.
Thanks so much for stopping in!

So Loved Already || Pretty Little Studio

Good morning everyone!  I just wanted to pop in and share my most recent Pretty Little Studio layout with you!  For this one, I decided to keep the layout pretty simple.  I used my favorite cut file from The Cut Shoppe (open letter alpha) and backed it with the bright, pretty patterns from the With all my Heart collection.  I cut the letters from some pretty foiled paper that I've been hoarding because I thought it would compliment the beautiful color combo of the collection perfectly:
Once I had backed out the letters with the papers and my photo, I sprinkled about multiple sentiments, die cuts and embellishments.  Here's how the final layout turned out:
Thanks so much for stopping in!  Have a great day!

Christmas Tags || PLS + The Cut Shoppe Team-Up

Good morning, everyone!  On Monday morning I was on the Pretty Little Studio blog to kick off the first day of our week-long product swap with The Cut Shoppe!

I decided to go in a different direction with my project.  This time of year is so busy, so I try to combine as many tasks as I can.  For example, I needed some gift tags for presents and I thought this team-up would be the perfect opportunity to create them!

I selected 2 tree cut files from the Cut Shoppe: the brand new "Tree Farm" file and the older "Trimming the Tree" file.  I really love the graphic trees and thought they would be a cute way to dress up my tags.

I selected a variety of papers to cut the trees from and then happily embellished!

Comfy Fall Attire || Pretty Little Studio

Hello, everyone!  Today I am sharing a layout that was featured on The Pretty Little Studio blog a couple of days ago.  It was made with our featured product: die cuts!  I am a big fan of die cuts recently.  They just make scrapping so much easier.  For today's layout I used a few different die cuts from the Oakley Avenue collection.

I also used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe that I backed with a few different papers from the collection.

Beach Baby (PLS)

Hello, everyone!  I am popping in to share my most recent project for Pretty Little Studio.  Today I had to share a Thursday Tip for you.  My tip: fussy cut those pretty papers!  :)

Fussy cutting is one of my favorite techniques.  I love embellishing my page, but I also like to keep my pages flat so they fit into my albums without creating too much bulk.  As soon as I got my little hands on the pretty Flower Crown paper from the Summer Vibes collection I knew I wanted to cut it up and use the pretty flowers all over the paper.  I combined the fussy cut flowers with some of the die cuts from the collection and a cut file from The Cut Shoppe to create a bright, happy layout.

Scraplift Saturday || 9.10.16

Good morning, everyone!  It's time for another *exciting* edition of Scraplift Saturdays!  LOL!

I chose to scraplift this layout from earlier in the year:

I loved the giant title and the wavy paper strips.  I changed it up a bit by placing the title on a diagonal and I really like the effect:

What do you think?  Pretty simple, right?  I'm totally in love with the Healthy Hello collection for Jillibean Soup and this Open Alpha cut file from The Cut Shoppe.  I'm sure you are tired of seeing those alphas on all my projects...ha!

Thanks so much for popping in!

Jot Magazine || Issue 15

Good morning, everyone!  Here in the U.S. we have a long holiday weekend and I'm so excited!  I definitely needed a tiny break from reality :o)

I did want to share a couple layouts that I had in the most recent issue of Jot Magazine. The first was for a call about Dad layouts.  It was Father's Day in Australia this past weekend.  I jumped on the opportunity to scrap this photo of my Dad and I (actually taken on Mother's Day last year...lol):

I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe to create the big title and some of the Amy Tangerine Better Together line:

The second layout is one you've already seen before (and recently...I thought it had been passed up, so I shared!).  The call was about diagonals:

Thanks for stopping in.  Enjoy the week (and the extra time off, if you've got it)!!

This month's sponsor is Cuts2Luv.  Their flair badges are pretty much amazing. :)

I also broke out some Simple Stories Sunshine & Happiness collection and one of my favorite cut files from The Cut Shoppe.  I also used one of the new Creative Scrappers cut files...so much fun!

I hope you can play along with us this month!

Purple Layout!!!

Good morning, everyone! Earlier this week I shared a layout on the Pretty Little Studio blog that I made with the Pretty Please Here Comes the Sun collection.  When I saw this fabulous photo of my friend's daughters I knew that this collection would perfectly compliment it.  It just screams summer fun!

I found a cute cut file from The Cut Shoppe, backed it with some paper from the collection and scattered minimal embellishments around to complete the look...and I used PURPLE cardstock...I still can't get over it...so unlike me  :o)

Creative Scrappers || Sketch 297

Good morning, everyone!  Happy August!  Time is whizzing by!

I wanted to pop in and share this month's sketch from Creative Scrappers:

This month's sponsor is the awesome The Cut Shoppe!  There is even a free file for you to download and play with.

I had so much fun with this layout.  I love, love, LOVE the Quirky Quads background file that I used on this layout.  And I adore the new Elle's Studio collection.  I struggled a little with the sketch itself, but I just shrank it down a bit and found it much easier to work with.  I was still very inspired by it and its overall design:

I really hope you can all play along with us this month!

By the Sea || Pretty Little Studio

Good morning, everyone!  I have a layout up on the Pretty Little Studio blog this morning!

Since it is officially Summer where I live, I decided it was time to break out my Treasure Island collection and create a Summer-ish layout.  I'm all ready for beautiful beach days and lazy Summer weekends!

The picture I chose to scrap today was one of my husband on a recent trip to St. Augustine, Florida.  I took a picture of him standing by the marina and knew that the Treasure Island collection would compliment the photo perfectly.  I actually built my layout around the negative of another cut file that I had lying around.  The negative was a giant circle shape so I decided to use some of my scraps to fill in the circle and build a base for my layout.  I also decided to go for a bold title, using an alpha cut file from The Cut Shoppe and filling the letters in with the Treasure Map patterned paper.

The end result is something that I love - and definitely has me in the mood for some Summer fun!

Paris || Pretty Little Studio

Hello, everyone!  I had a post on the Pretty Little Studio blog yesterday.  It was a Pinterest inspired challenge and it was a ton of fun!  Here is the inspiration photo:
12974413_1096302043764302_8269551514897802643_n

As soon as I saw this photo, I knew that I had to use the Hello Heather Here + There collection, I had to scrap a Paris trip photo (even though the trip was almost 5 years ago now ) and I had to use the beautiful Les Fleurs patterned paper.  Once I decided all those things, the layout came together pretty quickly!

I decided to make my big title the focus of the page and used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe to create it.  I also used my photo to fill in the 'A' in 'Paris'.  I really like how that effect ended up turning out.  Once I had my title work done, I just layered on my embellishments and the layout came together really fast - gotta love when that happens!

Now that this layout is done, I think it is safe to say that I need to restock my Here + There stash - I only have tiny little scraps left - and lots of 3 x 4 cards, which I will definitely be putting to use soon.

June Clique Kit

So, Clique Kits just revealed their June kit...and it is pretty spectacular!  I am such a big fan of the pretty mix of Elle's Studio and Jillibean Soup products.  When the kit arrived on my doorstep a few weeks ago, I instantly had to play and made a layout within hours of receiving it.

I broke out a cut file from The Cut Shoppe and had fun filling in the negatives while zoning out in front of the TV :)

Here's my layout:

Seriously, is this kit not adorable?!?!

Bonjour Love || Pretty Little Studio

Hi, everyone!  I wanted to share a layout I made for Pretty Little Studio by combining a few different collections!  I had it up on their blog yesterday.  It's the most fun I've had making a layout in quite a while!  I really love the turquoise and red color combo, so I decided to combine some of the fun papers from the Hello Heather Here + There collection and from the Treasure Island collection.  I used them all to back a fun cut file from The Cut Shoppe:
201612
After I backed portions of the cut file, I layered some of the misted negatives and enamel dots on top of the design.  This layout was so simple to create, but I really like the way it turned out.

Scraplift Saturday || 3.5.16

Good morning, everyone!!  I am popping in on this happy Saturday (seriously, YAY SATURDAY!) to share another installment of Scraplift Saturdays.  I always choose one of my own layouts to lift for this feature.  It's a fun little challenge and it's always nice to be inspired by yourself :o)

For today's feature I chose to lift this layout from last August:

I really liked the big circle and the fact that there were multiple photos spread across the page.

This is my new layout for Pretty Little Studio:

I LOVE that big 'ol sun cut file from The Cut Shoppe and knew that it would be a great element to anchor my photos.  For my PLS assignment, I was also asked to focus on stickers.  I decided to have some fun with the tiny ABC stickers.  I'm a pretty big fan of how this layout turned out.

Thanks for popping in!

Flashback Friday || Bella Blvd

Hey, everyone!  Sorry I've been M.I.A. recently!  I did want to pop in and share a layout that I have on the Bella Blvd blog this morning.  We were asked to create a layout using an older Bella collection, so I went with the Family Forever collection.  Here's what I whipped up:

The title is made from a cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

Hope you enjoy!

Fun with Vellum || Pretty Little Studio

Hello everyone!  I wanted to pop in and share a layout that I had up on the Pretty Little Studio blog yesterday.  I was challenged to use vellum on a project and this is what I came up with:

I know I just posted a project with the "Plus Infinity" cut file from The Cut Shoppe, but I loved it so much that I just had to use it again.  I cut the file down so it was centered in my page and then I backed it with a fun sheet of vellum from the Treasure Island collection.

Also, I totally love those gold doilies - I think this is my second project in a month where I scattered them all over the page - such a fun effect - I think!

So Fabulous || The Cut Shoppe

Hey everyone!  I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog this morning with my last layout as a design team member.

For my last layout for The Cut Shoppe I decided to combine an old favorite with a newer file.  I ADORE the Plus Infinity background cut file and I've wanted to use it for awhile, but didn't have any good ideas.  And then we moved recently and I was forced to go through all my scrapbook stash and found some pretty glitter paper buried at the bottom of a paper pile.  I was inspired to create this bling-ed out layout about my niece:

For my title I used the This & That cut file - I think it pairs perfectly with the bling-ed out background!

And here's a close up with the light reflecting off the page so you can see just how glittery it is.  I LOVE it because it highlights my niece's personality so well - she sparkles and shines so brightly!

Here are the files I used in this layout:

I also just want to take this time to quickly thank Ashley for having me on the team for the last few months.  I had such a great time and it was such a fun opportunity!  I can't wait to see what new files she creates in the coming months!!

Pool Fun || The Cut Shoppe + SpiegelMom Scraps

Hey, everyone!  I have a new layout up at The Cut Shoppe today!

I got really excited about the "Make a Splash" cut file when I saw it and instantly thought it would be really cool to blow up the stacked words to make a background.  It really was perfect or highlighting photos of my niece at the pool.  I cut out the stacked words and the sun and water-colored them before removing them from my cutting mat.

I kept the rest of the layout pretty simple because I really think the cut file looks so good on its own!  But, I had to add in some of my favorite sequins from the SpiegelMom Scraps Shop - I am really digging this pretty blue color right now!

Here is the cut file that I used on this layout:

Thanks for popping in - hope you are enjoying your Summer days!!
