Clique Kits' February Pep Rally

Hi, everyone!  Happy Pep Rally Day!  I sure do love these blog hops - it's always so much fun to see how everyone using the same set of products.

My project today is actually pretty unexciting, but I am proud of myself for using my favorite piece of paper from the kit.  I'm really working on not "hoarding" this year and so far I've done pretty well, even if it's  been a somewhat painful process for me ;-)

Pinterest Inspired || PLS

Good morning, everyone!  I am up on the Pretty Little Studio blog this morning with a Pinterest-inspired layout.  I really loved out Pinterest inspiration:

Seriously, the colors are great - I'm loving that pop of gold.

I decided the Wonderland collection would be perfect for scrapping these cute photos of Jody's daughter:

Scraplift Saturday 2.20.16

Good morning, everyone!  I am popping in with a new Scraplift Saturday installment.  The layout I chose to scraplift is one of my all-time favorites and I don't think I'll ever be able to create a scraplift of it that I will like just as much, but I'll keep trying.  Here's the layout:

Here's my scraplift of it:

While I like this layout, I don't like it better than the original...but I'll tackle it again in the future.  Side note: isn't Moose Dog cute? :)

Happy Saturday, y'all!

Snow Much Fun || Pretty Little Studio

Hello, hello!  I wanted to pop in and share a layout that I had on the Pretty Little Studio blog earlier this week.  I finally got to play with the new Wonderland collection and I just adore it.  The pretty color palette is right up my aisle.  And even though, I created a Winter-y layout for my first project, I truly believe this line is incredibly versatile.

Anywho, as I mentioned, for this layout I stuck to the Winter theme and decided to scrap these photos of my nieces playing in the snow.  I began by cutting a giant snowflake out of my background paper using my Silhouette.  I backed the cut out with the pretty-looking water-colored paper and then built my layout on top of that:

Hope you enjoy!  Thanks for stopping in!

Bella Buzz Layout

Good morning, everyone!  The newest issue of Bella Buzz came out yesterday and I was happy to be one of the designers who took on the Challenge on the Blvd.  The challenge: create a layout using the Valentina collection, at least one chevies clear cut and one 5x7 photo.

After I got over the initial terror of having to scrap a 5x7’’ photo, this layout came pretty quickly to me. I knew I wanted to go with the prepster’s color combo of choice – pink and green. I pulled in some of the pink, black and white patterns from the Valentina collection and added in a few extra patterns from the Just Add Color collection. I also embellished with pickle juice and guacamole accents and topped it off with some random hand stitching:

I'm actually a fan of the final result!

Go check out the whole newsletter, if you get a chance.  It's full of a ton of inspiration!

Bella Blvd Valentines

Hello!  Happy Friday!!

All this week on the Bella Blvd blog, the design team has been sharing Valentine's Day projects - they like to force us out of comfort zone and have us create something besides layouts and cards!

For my project, I decided to create a cute little group of envelopes with twine enclosures.  They are the perfect size for holding cards and small treats.  They were so much fun to  make and decorate!

I even got to break out my old-school Crop-A-Dile!!

I kept the embellishing on the front fairly simple, but I think that ended up working out okay.

I really hope my people will enjoy getting these!

Some PLS Shares

Good morning, all!  I recently realized that I have a few Pretty Little Studio projects that I forgot to share here.

The first one was for the February sketch.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my take on it:

I do love me some grid layouts, so I thought this sketch was a lot of fun to work with.  I used bright colors from the Neapolitan collection to highlight these pool photos - and now I'm ready for Summer!  :)

The second layout was a lot of fun to make.  I punched out circles from patterned paper, vellum and even a bingo card to create this one...it came together very quickly, which is always a bonus!

Thanks for stopping in today!

Hello 29 || Clique Kits

Hello, all...it's back to the work week routine today - I've got a busy week ahead, so I'm glad I was able to relax a little bit this weekend...and I managed to schedule blog posts for the week...yay!

Last week I had another layout up on the Clique Kits' blog that was made with the February Hot Mess kit.  I decided to make my yearly layout about myself..the colors in this kit were so colorful and the patterns were so fun that I really couldn't resist using it for my "about me" spread:

Seriously, isn't this kit amazing?

That watercolor-looking paper is my fave - I want to hoard ALL of it!! :)

Enjoy your week!!

Scraplift Saturday | 2.6

Happy, happy weekend!!!  Saturdays are totally my "happy place"...

I have another edition of Scraplift Saturdays for you today.  Last year I made this layout:

I really liked all the layered paper strips and decided that I wanted to mimic that technique again on my new layout:

I made the strips smaller and sprinkled in a few pieces of washi and smaller scraps throughout.

I also love the collection that I used: the 7paper Amelia collection contains my favorite colors: pink, fuchsia and orange with bold black and white patterns.  SO FUN!  And I was lucky enough to grab this Freckled Fawn embellishment kit on sale during some of their Black Friday goodness.  I'm glad that I finally found some time to play with it!

Have you been scraplifting yourself?  If so, I'd love to see - please share a link in the comments!

Love || Bella Blvd

Hey, everyone!

I wanted to pop in real fast and share a layout that I had on the Bella Blvd blog this morning.  We were given an image to inspire us and create a layout based off of our inspiration.  Here was the image:

Here is my layout:

So…my inspiration from this image is pretty obvious – I was inspired to make a GIANT “Love” title.  Since the layout is all about love, I figured I should use the love-appropriate Valentina collection.  I also decided to do something new for me and hand-cut the letter outlines.  They’re not perfect and I kind of like that!

I had so much fun making this layout.  And I must say, I totally adore the Valentina collection.

Thanks for popping in!!
