Blog Catch Up: 2 Layouts and a Project Life Spread

Hey, everyone!  I'm a bit behind in sharing some of my projects.  I made a lot of projects all at once and then sort of forgot about them.  So, today I'm playing a little bit of catch-up and sharing a lot at once...sorry for all the photos.

The first one is one of the last projects I made for The Curtsey Boutique.  Those sparkly butterflies will always have a place in my heart:

The next layout was made from items from the Clique Kits store.  The Wild Berry Jubilee paper pack is sold out but the Tangerine and Mint Julep packs are still available....for only $3.00!  (Extra 10% off using code KAT10):

And finally, week 1 of my Project Life.  Left side is a large photo of my Granny.  She passed away on December 30 at 100 years old.  She was beautiful and wonderful and I will miss her so much:

The right side is just highlights from the rest of the week:

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my eclectic assortment of projects!

PL 2014 || Weeks 48 and 49

Hey, everyone!

So, I fell a bit behind in my Project Life album at the end of 2014.  However, I only have 2 weeks left in that album, plus week 1 of this year...I think I can get caught up soon.

I did want to share 2 of the weeks that I completed over my Christmas "break":

Week 48:

This week was made with a lot of products from the Curtsey Boutique.  My favorite part of this spread is the art work from my 18 month old niece that is in the bottom right corner...too cute!  To me, this represents what Project Life is all about.

Week 49:

Week 49 has a Christmas feel to it, as it was the first week of December and we had a few holiday events to attend that week.  Definitely a lot of fun!

Thanks so much for popping in.  Have you decided to do Project Life in 2015?

Happy Mail Monday || Purple Package

Hey, everyone!  I have sent out another happy mail package.  This week I focused on the recipient's favorite color: purple.  I had SO MUCH fun putting this little package together - plus I really love paint chips, so any excuse to use them makes me happy.

I used a bunch of fun Curtsey Boutique goodies to put this package together - that pretty stuff never gets old!

I also decorated my mailing envelope a little bit.  But seriously, I need to work on the outer packaging a bit more!

If you're interested in being happy mail "pen pals", shoot me an email at kraftykat9@gmail.com !

Doodlebug Design Application

Hey, everyone!  Happy, happy Friday!  I love Fridays!  Reaching the end of the work week is one of the best feelings.

I'm popping in today to share my projects for my Doodlebug Design DT application.  I didn't make the team (sad face), but I did have a lot of fun creating the projects for my application.  Here's what I submitted:

A card:

A project life spread:

Some Christmas gift tags:

This layout (which I previously shared here):

And this layout (which I previously shared here):

I adore Doodlebug's products - the fun, colorful collections and touch of glitter embellishments fit in perfectly with my style.  In fact, I just refilled my Doodlebug embellishment stash in preparation for this application, so you will see a lot of their products showing up on my work here within the next few weeks.

Thanks for stopping in!

3 || The Curtsey Boutique

Hey, everyone!  I had a layout posted on The Curtsey Boutique Blog yesterday.  It was a layout that I made pretty quickly by creating a quick, messy background with my gelatos and then adding some fun embellishments on top:

See?  A super simple layout.  I really love those burlap butterflies from Curtsey Boutique.  They are so cute and add just the right amount of texture to a project.

Thanks for popping in!

Creative Jumpstarts with The Curtsey Boutique

Hello, hello!  As you read this, I'm off on a work "adventure" for the next week.  But I've scheduled a few posts so I don't fall too far behind in blogging.  (I hate when that happens).

This past weekend was a long one for me because of the Veteran's Day holiday.  It was rainy and overcast and I was able to get a ton of scrapping done.  It was pretty much perfection!  In addition to working on some of my assignments to be shared a little bit late, I was also able to play along with the current Creative Jumpstarts challenge (run by Marcy Penner and Stephanie Bryan).  The challenge this time: use 5 patterned papers, 2 brads and 1 frame.  Here is my take:
I've had a 6x6 Doodlebug Design rainbow stack staring at me for a while now just begging to be used, so I'm glad I was finally able to.

In creating this layout, I also used the most recent Studio Calico Sunday sketch...as soon as I saw it, I knew I need to break out some Curtsey Boutique shipping tags and doilies!

Have you played along with any CJ challenges?

Curtsey Boutique #Cutie

Hey everyone!  I had a layout up on The Curtsey Boutique blog last week.  I love the lime and yellow color combo, so I really played that up for this layout:

Isn't she one of the cutest kids you've ever seen?  E & I have been blessed with adorable nieces that we can spoil rotten!

I love shipping tags and doilies and sparkly things and The Curtsey Boutique has an awesome selection of all of those things.  I hope you can check them out!

Curtsey Boutique Shares

Good morning.  It's back to work today.  Blah.  Luckily, I got in a lot of time at my scrap desk this weekend, so I can't complain too much.

I have been a tad bit delinquent in sharing some Curtsey Boutique projects recently, so I figured I would share two of them today.

The first is a Project Life spread.  This includes the week that E hurt himself.  I included his hospital bracelet in one of the pockets (all his info is whited out for privacy purposes).  This week also focused on Summer and I love how bright and colorful it turned out!

Next up, another Project Life spread.  This week included one of my best friends' baby showers.  She's having a little girl in a few weeks (exciting!) and I jumped on the opportunity to pink up the spread.  The Curtsey Boutique had a lot of items that were perfect for the cause:

And finally - a card that I made for Childhood Cancer Awareness month (September).  The owner of Curtsey Boutique, CarrieAnne, is very passionate about the cause.  A dear friend of her's lost their little boy last year and CarrieAnne has really tried to raise awareness.  I contributed an all-gold card to the blog.  Even though September is over, you can still help the cause.  Here is one site to check out.

Week 26: Page Protectors: Becky Higgins (Designs F & H); Journaling Cards: Studio Calico; Simple Stories; Washi Tape: Queen & Company; Star Clip: Maya Road; Alphas: American Crafts, Studio Calico; Label Stickers: Simple Stories; Sequins: Lawn Fawn, Studio Calico; Chipboard Star, Word Labels: Studio Calico; Staples: Tim Holtz; Doilies, Tag, Plastic Bag (on homemade filler card); Glitter Stars, Starburst Label; Sick Pin: Curtsey Boutique

Week 30: Page Protector: Becky Higgins (Design N); Journaling Cards: Studio Calico, Amy Tangerine; Library Card, Butterfly, Book Page Star, Stick Pin; Arrow Tag: Curtsey Boutique; Paper Bag: Webster's Pages; Chipboard Shapes: Studio Calico; Enamel Dots: My Mind's Eye; Alphas: October Afternoon, Studio Calico; Patterned Paper, Label Stickers: Heidi Swapp; Diecut: Chic Tags; Word Stickers: Little Yellow Bicycle; Staples: Tim Holtz

Curtsey Boutique Favor Bags

Hey, everyone!

I am popping in to share some favor bags that I made for the Curtsey Boutique.  They were so quick and easy to make!

CarrieAnne's felt butterflies are already embellished beautifully so it was easy for me to just attach them to a doily with a sentiment tag and use them to top a brown paper bag...these bags only took minutes to make and I think they ended up looking pretty cute.

Cherish Layout with Curtsey Boutique

Good morning, everyone!  Happy Friday!  It's my favorite day of the week!

I'm up on The Curtsey Boutique blog today sharing a new layout that I recently made:
I'm still so in love with those sparkly butterflies.  I need to get about 20 more packs of them because I can use them on everything...and of course, I still have an obsession with those hand-dyed doilies.  They are definitely my favorite product in all my stash right now!

I ♥ Watercolors

Seriously, I do.  I love the variety of backgrounds you can make with them.  For this layout, I went for the easy, drippy background and then layered a whole bunch of pretty paper on top of it:

Most of the supplies on this layout are from the Curtsey Boutique.  Even though most of their products fall into the realm of shabby chic, I find it really easy to use their products with my style - which I would NEVER describe as shabby chic!

I hope you have a happy weekend!

Oh the Wildflowers!

Hey, y'all!  I hope everyone had a nice, relaxing weekend.  I'm up on The Curtsey Boutique blog today with a new layout.  The pictures in this layout are such a fun memory for me.  In April and May there are a ton of wildflowers that bloom close by our house.  This year, I asked E if we could stop and take pictures by them and he totally indulged me.  Initially, I was a little self conscious standing on the side of the road taking pictures, but as the weeks went on we saw tons of people doing the same thing.  They were such a beautiful site and they enabled me to scrap in an often neglected color: purple!

Of course it wouldn't be a Curtsey Boutique project without my favorite hand-dyed doilies...so in love with them.  And I 'm totally digging the sparkly butterflies and stars.

Hope you have time to swing by The Curtsey Boutique and snag some of their fabulous products!

...my heart stencil by Heidi Swapp!  I've had it forever but just got around to using it.  I knocked out 2 layouts pretty quickly:

I'm also loving my hand dyed doilies from The Curtsey Boutique. I use them on almost every layout I create now, whether it's a CB design team project or not.  That's definitely the sign of an awesome product!  :o)

Hey, everyone!

I hope you all had a nice work week and are ready for some weekend fun...I sure am!  :o)

I wanted to share another layout I made for the Queen & Company NSD challenges.  This challenge was to scrap about a Disney or amusement park visit. Since, I would identify my family as a definite Disney family, I have a lot of Disney pics laying around to scrap.  I chose some of my favorites and whipped up this layout pretty quickly:

PL 2014 || Week 12 with the Curtsey Boutique!

Hi, everyone!  I am popping in to share my first project for The Curtsey Boutique.  I am so, so excited to be on this team.  At first glance, a lot of the shabby chic items in the shop do not really look like they fit my style very well, but I assure you that they do!  Check it out:
Week 12 included the first day of Spring.  I thought a few of the Curtsey Boutique products did an excellent job capturing Spring: the colorful doilies, the sparkly butterflies and the awesome stick pins (a personal fave of mine!)

And here are some close-ups of some Curtsey Boutique products in action:
