Using Up My Scrap Stash

Happy Sunday, all! I hope your weekend has been nice so far.

I have a new layout to share with you. It's based on the newest sketch posted on Creative Scrappers. I flipped the sketch on it's side to get my page design.
I had a lot of fun with this layout for a few reasons: (1) That fun striped paper is actually from the My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas collection...but you can't tell it's Christmas-y at all! (2) I got to use a ton of my Prima self-adhesive gems...so fun! (3) I got to use a few sets of my alphas...I'm not usually one for mixing and matching my letter stickers, but I really like how it looks, so it may be something I start to do more often.

Thanks for stopping by...enjoy your day!!

Kayaking...

Hey, all! Happy, happy Friday!

When I saw the layout "Drive" by Dora Phillips in the July issue of ScrapStreet Magazine, I knew immediately that I wanted to scraplift it...and I knew just the pictures I wanted to use. Eric and I and two of our friends went kayaking earlier this summer and thought that Dora's layout idea would be perfect to scrap the photos from the day:

I had so much fun using up a bunch of my Jillibean Soup stickers. I'm also still trying to master that sewing machine...and I think that I'm finally starting to figure it out a little bit! :)

Orange Layout

Hey! I told you earlier today that I am a new member of the Just C & S design team. I thought I would share one of the layouts that I submitted for the call. It had to be orange:What do you think? I had so much fun playing with the paint. I got the idea for painting in the top corner from Tara's blog, which I follow and I thought it was such a fun idea. And, I always love using up some of my paper flower stash :)

Thanks for stopping by!!

CS #118

Hey, everyone!!

I hope you had a good weekend! I actually took a mini roadtrip and had a lot of fun. I got back earlier this morning and checked out the fun sketch posted on Creative Scrappers...and of course, I loved it. And I decided to scrap a photo from a few years ago...I love this picture and I realized today that I have never scrapped it for myself (I scrapped it in a mini album I made for Eric 2 birthdays ago), so here it is:

I love, love, LOVE that We R Memory Keepers line, "72 & Sunny." I got the whole collection for my birthday a few weeks ago and this is the first chance I've had to play with it. Expect to see a bunch more of it in the future. What lines are you addicted to right now??

Something different...

Hey, all!

There was another fun sketch posted at Just C & S. It was definitely a style that I'm not used to scrapping, but it looked pretty cute, so I had to give it a try. Here is my layout:What do ya think? Not my usual style, but it's always fun to try something a bit different :)

Cosmo Cricket Fun

Hello, all!
I hope your weekend went well...mine flew by...but of course, it always does :)

I have a new layout to share with you:
This was done for the current challenge at The Studio Challenges. The challenge was to use at least 5 pieces of patterned paper...and since it was sponsored by Cosmo Cricket, I decided to use some of my Girl Friday stash. I love that line...in fact, I've been hoarding it a little bit, so it was time that I finally use it. I'm also glad I found an opportunity to use one of those gorgeous Prima roses. I've had them for awhile, but haven't really had a layout to use them on.
Thanks for stopping by...have a happy work week!

Another way to use scraps...

I know what you're thinking...is she seriously posting again this week?? It's totally out of the norm for me, but this past Sunday, I was super scrappy, so I actually had some projects to share this week!

Here is my next layout...and I used more of the scraps from my scrap bin...all the green ones to be exact. I also used some of my old Pebbles chips (LOVE those!!). Here it is:
Thanks for stopping by! And...HOORAY...TOMORROW IS FRIDAY! :o)

Jump for Joy!

Hey, all!

I hope you're having a happy week...I don't know about you, but my week is going by super, super slooooooooow. Is it bad that it's only Wednesday and I am eagerly awaiting the weekend? Hmmm...

I wanted to share a layout that I created this weekend. I made it using an old PageMaps sketch. I thought this was the perfect way to use up some of my Crate Paper and ribbon scraps...And anything that helps me to use up scraps is a good thing in my book.
Aren't those pictures so much fun? Two of my best friends came to visit me at the end of June and we had so much fun catching up...and jumping around on the beach at night, being total dorks (no alcohol was involved...I promise).

Thanks for stopping by!! (And for more info about the current SOTB DT call contest, click here)

Happy Birthday!!

Hey, all! I have a quick card that I would like to share with you. I made it using some scraps from my GIANT scrap bin. I almost feel like I need to go through the scrap bin and get rid of some paper from there. It's getting a bit overwhelming... :)
Isn't that felt star on the card awesome?? It's from the Etsy shop Perfectly Precocious. Go check it out...there are some really neat things there. I was lucky enough to win $20 worth of goodies from Tessa's shop for one of The Studio Challenges that I participated in...and now I keep checking her shop to see all the fun new things being added there. I definitely see a Perfectly Precocious purchase in my future :)

I hope everyone has a great day!

CS #116 and a whole lotta yellow!!

Hey, all! I've been a little out of touch recently. I am lucky enough to currently have my Dad in town visiting, but that means not a lot of time for scrapping!

I did, however, get a chance to play along with Creative Scrappers this morning. I loved the sketch so much, that I pretty much followed it exactly...plus I was able to break the paint back out again, since the sketch actually included paint splatters! :) And because I used paint, this layout is also for The Studio Challenges August 1st challenge, which was to use paint, mist, ink, etc on your layout...

Here's my layout:
That's a whole lotta yellow, huh? I realized that it's not a color that I use too much, so I'm excited that I was able to use it today - it's so bright and cheery that I really should use it more often.

I also tried a new journaling technique with this layout: I typed my journaling into Microsoft Word, then I turned it white, and highlighted it in black. So, when I printed it off, it looked like white ink...I've heard of this idea for awhile, but this seemed like the perfect time to try it for myself!

Have a happy day and an even better week...and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Clean & Simple

Hey, all! How is your weekend going? I hope it's been fun!

I have a new layout to share with you. I made it with a sketch from the Just C & S blog:
It is a way simpler layout than I am used to making...but since that is the point of the blog, that is a good thing! I like how clean it looks. And look! No paint splatters! :-D

Enjoy your day...thanks for stopping by!
