April House of Art Kit

Happy Saturday Morning!! The new House of Art kit is out. Here it is: And here are the projects I made with it: The above picture is of my Grandmother...she was a U.S. Marine during World War II. Isn't that awesome?? This kit is so, so much fun!! I really do love it. And how happy was I that it came with paint?? In other news, I caved and got a Pinterest account. Umm...I love it. I PROMISE...

...I've been kraftin' lately...I just can't share any of it right now. My poor blog is being totally neglected, though...and I was just starting to feel guilty about it when I found a layout that I had forgetten that I made and has never been posted. Here it is: That is my cat, Calie (as if you couldn't tell by the title). She lives with my parents and we've had her since I was in 3rd grade...impressive, huh? She's very cute and was so playful as a kitten. Now, she's just very prissy and snobby...but still has her sweet moments. In other news, blogger is still being difficult and won't let me put spaces between my paragraphs. I promise I am literate enough to know where there should be a break in my train of thought :-) Thanks for dropping by! Have a nice work week!

Make and Create Layout 1

Hello, everyone! The first layout I made with Anna's beautiful homemade embellishments from The Make and Create Shop is now posted on the shop's blog. Here it is: I'm totally in love with the colors or her embellies this month! I also used Creative Scrappers sketch #150 to create this layout. Spring is in the Air!

I know I say it every month, but I can't believe how quickly 2011 is flying by...I wish it would slow down a little bit, but I'm not complaining that it's beautiful Springtime! Speaking of Springtime, I am privileged to be this month's guest designer at The Make and Create Shop. The owner, Anna, creates the most beautiful handmade embellishments and puts together the cutest kits full of her handmade lovelies. This month's kit is very Spring-y. I just got it in the mail yesterday and I'm totally in love. It is full of the most gorgeous colors and the cutest embellies. I've already created one layout with it. Here is a sneak:

It's all about the butterflies

I just have a quick layout to share with you. I made it a few weeks ago:

I am so in love with those Jenni Bowlin rubon butterflies. I wish I had purchased more. They are so much fun to use and so pretty to look at :) It also appears that I am returning to my paint-splattering roots. At least I was a "classy" scrapper for a little while...ha!

House of Art Blog Hop...Day 1

Lots of news for you!

Hey, all! Happy Friday!! I have lots of information for you today...

First, there is a new challenge up at Punky Scraps. It's a recipe challenge. Use at least 3 out of 5 of "ingredients" on the list to create a layout. The "ingredients" were misting, distressing, black & white photo, flower(s) and sparkles! Here is what I came up with:
And, let me just say, I am kicking myself for not using a b&w photo. I use b&w photos all the time, but while I was doing this layout I completely forgot that was an ingredient...grrr...oh well :)

In other news, the Butterfly Crafts challenge site is back up and running...and I am lucky enough to be a design team member! There will be one challenge a month...our first challenge is March 15th.

And finally, House of Art will be kicking off it's housewarming party next week (it was delayed because Ariana was waiting on some awesome product that arrived from the maufacturer a little late). Here is what will be happening there:
